McLaughlin is a small hall with first-year only residents who enjoy a strong sense of community within the building, as well as its great location! Situated on a hill overlooking the western side of campus, McLaughlin is surrounded by trees and grassy areas. It is close to the Dimond 图书馆, 保罗大学, The Whittemore Center, 校园娱乐, 室外游泳池, 美国铁路公司站, and The Dairy Bar.
The first floor offers a single-use gender-inclusive restroom, and the ground floor has a gender inclusive community restroom.

Dedicated March 19th, 1955. Named in honor of Helen McLaughlin. Began working at The New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts in 1917 as a Home Demonstration Agent. Instructor in Home Economics from 1920 – 1953.

This learning community opportunity is available to all incoming, first-year students in the College of 健康 and Human Services – including those students who have selected a CHHS major and those students who are joining CHHS undeclared. CHHS first-year students participate in the Academic and Career Engagement (ACE) 程序. Choosing to live in this CHHS: ACE 学习 社区 will extend the benefits of ACE to your residential life experience. CHHS ACE uses personalized academic and career coaching and peer mentors to support academic success and the transition to UNH and CHHS. CHHS ACE also connects first-year students with others who share interests in health and human services and have goals of working to enhance the lives of individuals, 家庭, 和社区. First-year students who select to join the CHHS: ACE 学习 社区 will live together in 麦克劳克林大厅 and be able to extend and expand the supports, 资源, and connections of ACE.
If you are part of the College of 健康 and Human Services as a new student, you will qualify for the Residential 学习 社区 selection.
